No one could accuse me of being a Guardian reader (the horror!) but this morning the title of this article (link above) by Roger Taylor led me to read the whole piece. I think it’s true, we do love the NHS too much to make it better.
Living in the United States sure puts our healthcare system into perspective, and even having lived here for around a year and a half, I still feel guilty when I even think about thinking that the NHS just isn’t up to scratch.
This is why I think this article is great. It unashamedly puts forward the aspects that do need to change, whilst praising the astounding work many medical professionals do on a day to day basis.
I’m sure this won’t be the last time I write about the NHS and healthcare, but this article is a fabulous place to start!
